CALT Emerging Traditional Artists Program

About the Open Call

ETAP funds support learning opportunities for emerging traditional artists including travel for mentorships, workshops, research, supplies, and professional services. Awarded artists participate in cohort-based professional development, including virtual workshops and an in-person convening in Spring 2027.

What is Offered

$5,000 grant and professional development support.

Requirements

Applicants must be traditional artists/practitioners in the early stages of their journey, at least 18 years old, located in designated Appalachian counties in OH, VA, or WV, and U.S. citizens/nationals/permanent residents. Must be in good standing with Mid Atlantic Arts.
