About the Open Call

The Royal College of Nursing (RCN) invites artists to propose a collaborative or co-created artwork for a temporary exhibition launching in September 2026. The exhibition, covering the digital revolution in nursing over the last 150 years, will be hosted for 6 months in London and 6 months in Edinburgh. The artist will be expected to work with nursing staff and/or patients to explore themes such as AI, robotics, data, and communication in healthcare. The selected work must be ready for installation by 7 September 2026.

What is Offered

An artistic commission for a temporary exhibition hosted by the Royal College of Nursing, involving collaboration with nursing staff and patients.

Requirements

Expression of interest, CV, 500-1000 word proposal covering concept, methodology, and budget.
