Call to Artists – Public Art Commission (Second-Floor Landing)

About the Open Call

Skokie Public Library is seeking proposals from U.S.-based professional artists and artist teams for a $75,000 public art commission to create an original, large-scale artwork for the second-floor landing of its renovated building in Skokie, Illinois. The selected work should inspire lifelong learning, reflect the community’s cultural diversity, and make a strong visual impact from a distance within the architectural space. At least three semifinalists will receive honoraria of up to $1,000 to develop proposals before one final artist is selected.
