About the Open Call

Tint Journal focuses on amplifying diverse linguistic and cultural perspectives in contemporary literature. The journal welcomes submissions from ESL (English as a Second Language) writers across genres including short stories, flash fiction, essays, poetry, and experimental prose, alongside visual artworks intended to accompany literary pieces. The publication values inclusivity, originality, and cross-cultural storytelling, encouraging work that reflects varied identities, experiences, and language relationships. Selected contributors are published online and may also participate in audio recordings of their work for the journal’s digital platform.

Requirements

Submissions are open to writers who became fluent in another language before learning English. Only original, previously unpublished work is accepted, and AI-generated or AI-modified texts and artworks are not eligible. Writers may submit one piece per category at a time, with prose submissions ranging between 1,000–4,000 words, flash prose limited to 800 words, and poetry limited to one poem of up to four pages. Visual artists may submit up to three high-resolution works in JPG, JPEG, or PNG format. Submissions are free and are accepted either by email or through Submittable during open call periods.

How to Apply

Submissions are accepted through the guidelines provided on their website at https://tintjournal.com/submit/submission-guidelines.
