Call for Solo & Group Shows

About the Open Call

The Hoyt Center for the Arts is seeking solo and group exhibition proposals to fill out openings in the 2026-28 schedules. Proposals for solo, duo, collectives, and curatorial projects are welcome. Artists living in the Mid-Atlantic Region (PA, OH, NY, NJ, MD, VA, W.VA and Washington DC) will be given preference. Stipends up to $500 are available for selected artists. Installations are discouraged due to the historic nature of the facilities.

What is Offered

Exhibition opportunities and stipends up to $500 to assist with shipping/transportation costs.

Requirements

Artists must be 21+ and based in the U.S. Work must not exceed 60 inches in any direction and must be exhibition-ready.

How to Apply

Apply online via the CaFÉ portal by submitting a description of the proposed body of work, show title, artist statement, 10-20 jpeg images, image list, and resume/CV.
