Culture Moves Europe
The 'Call for residency hosts' facilitates residency projects by offering financial support to legal entities. The application process occurs in two phases: first, submission of the residency project concept and legal entity documents; second, if selected, choosing residents and completing the final application part. Eligible entities must be registered in Creative Europe countries and active in architecture, cultural heritage, design and fashion design, literature, music, performing arts, or visual arts. Hosts are expected to provide adequate accommodation, workspaces, and at least one mentor for artistic guidance.
The residency grant provides financial support to both the host and each resident. Hosts receive a hosting allowance of €50 per day per resident, plus accessibility support ranging from €375 to €1,200 based on residency duration. Residents receive a daily allowance of €30, a travel allowance of €400 or €800 depending on distance, and various top-ups for green mobility (€400), overseas/outermost regions (€175), family (€200 per child), and visa (€120). Additional accessibility support for residents includes a fixed amount based on project duration, financial aid for personal assistance/interpretation, and potential air travel for short distances.
Applicants must submit a concept for a residency project to host between 1 and 5 residents, adhering to 2 of the following objectives: to learn, to create, to explore, to connect, or to transform. The legal entity must have the capacity to implement the project, provide adequate accommodation and workspaces, and offer at least one mentor for artistic guidance. Required supporting documents include proof of the legal entity, its artistic portfolio or promotional report, and mentors' short CVs. If selected for Phase 2, applicants must provide a residency info card for each chosen resident, including national identification, CV, portfolio, and proof of legal residence.
To apply, applicants must create an account on the Goethe-Application Portal (GAP) as an 'Organisation/Enterprise', select 'Culture Moves Europe funding' and 'call for residency hosts'. The application form must be completed in English. Applicants can edit and save their draft application before final submission. All applicants should carefully read the call document before submitting.
