Athens-Clarke County Unified Government
The Athens Downtown Development Authority (ADDA), the Morton Theatre Corporation (MTC), and the Unified Government of Athens-Clarke County (ACCGov) are seeking qualifications for a mural in the Morton Theatre lobby. The selected artist will work with stakeholders to create a design that is appropriate for all ages and compatible with the historic surroundings.
$20,000 all-inclusive budget covering design, materials, insurance, travel, installation, and artist fees. Finalists will receive a $200 fee for their proposal design.
Open to professional artists or teams 18 years and older who are legal residents of the United States. Applicants must not be currently employed by the Athens-Clarke County Unified Government.
Applications must be submitted via the Athens-Clarke County online system. Required materials include contact information, a resume, three professional references, and three jpeg images of previous mural work of comparable scale and budget.
