About the Open Call

Draw to Perform is currently developing a festival for Drawing & Disability, planned for summer 2026 in collaboration with Chailey Heritage Foundation. They are gathering ideas, voices, and conversations from disabled artists working with performative drawing to help shape the festival and support an Arts Council England funding application. The organization is interested in drawing as performance, gesture, or live process; interdisciplinary approaches; and access-led or body-led drawing practices. Submissions can be fully formed or early-stage ideas.

What is Offered

Potential for formal invitations, artist fees, and inclusion in the festival programming if funding is secured.

Requirements

Applicants must be disabled artists at any career stage working in drawing, performance, live art, movement, sound, or hybrid practices.

How to Apply

Email drawtoperform@icloud.com with the subject line ‘Your name_DTP festival 2026’. Include a short description of your practice or proposed idea (up to 300 words), optional links to documentation/website, and any optional access needs.
