Athens Institute for Contemporary Art
ATHICA (Athens Institute for Contemporary Art) is seeking contemporary art in all media for its 2025 Juried Exhibition, titled RADICAL IMPERFECTION. The theme, suggested by juror Elizabet Elliott (Executive Director/Curator, Alabama Contemporary Art Center), encourages artists to embrace uncomfortable, odd, or unexpected outcomes and to risk sharing results with as little perfection as preferred. The exhibition will run from October 18-November 23, 2025, with an opening reception on October 18, 2025. Prizes totaling $500 in cash awards will be given, including the Donald Keyes Founder Award ($300), Community Pick ($100), and Director’s Pick ($100). Sales inquiries will be referred directly to artists, who are requested to donate 30% of sales back to ATHICA. The entry fee helps cover exhibition expenses and sustain the gallery, which is a 100% community-supported and volunteer organization.
