Call for Artists: the International Exhibition “Circle 2026”

About the Open Call

CICA Museum invites artists worldwide to participate in the International Exhibition, “Circle 2026.” The exhibition focuses on themes of circles, roundness, circulation, repetition, rituals, and wholeness. Categories include Photography & 2D Digital Art, Video & Interactive Art, and Painting, Sculpture & Installation Art. For Photography & 2D Digital Art, selected works will be printed (10×15 or 10×10 inches) and framed by curators; different sizes may incur additional fees. For Video & Interactive Art, projectors and DVD/DIVX players are provided, with multiple single-channel works screened together; special requirements for exclusive screening or additional equipment may incur fees. For Physical Works (Painting, Drawing, Print, Sculpture, and Installation Art), artists are responsible for shipment and related expenses. Two-dimensional work should not exceed 39 inches (1 m) on the longest side, and installation pieces should be no larger than 39x39x79 inches (1 x 1 x 2 m, w x l x h). Wall-mounted works should not exceed 10 kg. Exhibition Dates: August 19 – September 6, 2026 (dates subject to change). If the artist's work is selected, a show processing & maintenance fee of $75 (USD) per work is required.

Artists worldwide are invited. Submission materials include up to 3 video links and/or up to 5 JPG images, plus a bio. Works selected for exhibition will require a show processing and maintenance fee of $75 USD per work. Physical works have size restrictions: 2D works no larger than 39 inches (1m) on the longest side, installation pieces no larger than 39x39x79 inches (1x1x2m), and wall-mounted works not exceeding 10 kg. Artists are responsible for shipping physical works. Additional fees may apply for special installation requirements for video/interactive art or different printing sizes for photography/2D digital art.

How to Apply

Artists should send up to 3 direct links to video and/or up to 5 JPG images (100-500 kilobytes per image recommended), along with their bio, to “submission@cicamuseum.com.” The email subject line must be formatted as “Submission: Circle 2026 – Category (medium) – Artist’s Name”.
