Call for Artists: Our Energy Future

About the Open Call

Funded by the sponsors of Mass Save through a Community Education Grant, the City of Framingham and the Town of Natick seek to commission one artist or a team of artists to design and lead two complementary, participatory public art projects (one in Framingham and one in Natick) that connect with the theme of Our Energy Future. This theme addresses the role each individual plays in achieving Framingham, Natick, and Massachusetts’s greenhouse gas emission reduction goals in homes and buildings. The project aims to motivate residents and businesses in Framingham and Natick to participate in related programs and amplify the importance of collective action. Artist teams are encouraged but not required, and a form is available for artists interested in collaborating.

How to Apply

Applicants must view the Call for Artists document for detailed information and instructions. They should sign up for the City's Vendor Registry system, complete the required forms (Steps 1-3), upload a signed W-9 in Step 4, and then locate the project 'Call for Artists Regional Participatory Public Art Project' under the 'Current' tab in 'Solicitations From City of Framingham'. Applications must be submitted by Tuesday, May 27, 2025 @ 10 AM. All questions must be submitted through Vendor Registry.
