About the Open Call

CICA Museum is hosting an international exhibition 'Color 2026' focusing on color. Artists worldwide are invited to submit works in photography, 2D digital art, video art, interactive art, painting, and installation art. Selected photographic and 2D digital works will be printed in 10×15 or 10×10 inches, framed, and installed by the museum's curators & assistants. Video and interactive art will be screened using provided projectors and DVD/DIVX players, with potential additional fees for special requirements. Physical works (painting, drawing, print, sculpture, installation) should be no larger than 39 inches (1 m) on the longest side for 2D works, or 39x39x79 inches (1x1x2m) for installation pieces, and not exceed 10 kg if wall-mounted. Exhibition dates are September 30 – October 18, 2026 (subject to change).

What is Offered

Selected artists will have their work exhibited in the international exhibition 'Color 2026' at the CICA Museum. For photographic and 2D digital art, works will be printed, framed, and installed by the museum. For video and interactive art, projectors and players will be provided.

Requirements

Artists are required to pay a show processing & maintenance fee of $75 (USD) per selected work. For physical works, artists are responsible for shipment and delivery to and from CICA Museum, as well as all related expenses. Physical works must adhere to specified size and weight limits (e.g., 39 inches/1m longest side for 2D, 1x1x2m for installation, 10kg max for wall-mounted). Special requirements for video/interactive art (e.g., exclusive projectors or multiple screens) may incur additional fees.

How to Apply

Artists should send up to 3 direct links to video and/or up to 5 JPG images (100-500 kilobytes per image recommended), along with their bio, to “submission@cicamuseum.com.” The email subject line must be “Submission: Color 2026 – Category – Artist’s Name.”
