Call for Artists: Abstract Mind 2026: the 11th International Exhibition on Abstract Art

About the Open Call

CICA Museum invites artists from around the world to participate in “Abstract Mind 2026,” the 11th International Exhibition on Abstract Art. We welcome works in photography, 2D digital art, video art, interactive art, painting, sculpture, and installation that explore abstraction, Abstractivism, and the expression of the mind and abstract concepts. Categories include Painting, Drawing, Print, Sculpture, Installation Art, Photograph, 2D Digital Art, Video, and Interactive Art. For Photography and 2D Digital Art, selected works will be printed in standard sizes (10 × 15 inches or 10 × 10 inches), framed, and installed by CICA Museum curators and assistants. Larger sizes can be requested, potentially incurring additional fees. For Video and Interactive Art, projectors and DVD/DIVX players will be provided. Multiple single-channel works will be screened through a projector. Artists must specify if their work requires exclusive projector display or more than two projectors/monitors, as additional fees may apply. For Painting, Sculpture, and Installation Art, artists are responsible for the shipment and delivery of their physical works to and from CICA Museum, including all related expenses. Two-dimensional works should not exceed 39 inches (1 m) on the longest side. Installation pieces must be no larger than 39 × 39 × 79 inches (1 × 1 × 2 m, width × length × height). Wall-mounted works must not exceed 10 kg in weight. Artists interested in exhibiting works exceeding these limits should mention it in their submission email. Exhibition Dates: April 15 – May 3, 2026. Dates are subject to change.

What is Offered

Exhibition space at CICA Museum, printing and framing of selected photography and 2D digital art (standard sizes), provision of projectors and DVD/DIVX players for video and interactive art.

Requirements

Artists must be able to explore abstraction, Abstractivism, and the expression of the mind and abstract concepts in their work. Physical works (painting, sculpture, installation) must adhere to size and weight limits (2D works: max 39 inches longest side; installation: max 39x39x79 inches; wall-mounted: max 10kg), and artists are responsible for all shipment expenses. Video and interactive art may incur additional fees for specific display requirements.

How to Apply

To submit your work, please send up to 3 direct links to video and/or up to 5 JPG images (100-500KB recommended), along with your bio. Email them to “cicamuseum.submission@gmail.com.” The subject line of your email must be: “Submission: Abstract Mind 2026 – Category – Artist’s Name”.
