Open call for the selection of shows by under25 artists, performers, and companies to be included in DIFFUSA 2025, a contemporary dance festival recognized by the MiC, now in its second edition, developing in the territories of the Province of Alessandria, Piemonte. The selection is for emerging professional artists and companies operating in contemporary dance and performing arts. Themes for DIFFUSA 2025 revolve around 'Identity', inviting reflection on: Territorial, cultural, and folkloristic identity; Identity of hosting places; Identity as personal development; Encounter and comparison of identities and people through artistic relationship and exchange. Selected shows will be staged on Saturday, November 8, 2025, in the unconventional space of Serra di Ristorazione Sociale, in the Municipality of Alessandria, Piemonte.
Opportunity to perform within the DIFFUSA 2025 contemporary dance festival.
The call is open to individual artists or groups (maximum 4 people), resident or domiciled in Italy, who operate professionally in the contemporary dance sector. Candidates and groups must be under 25. For companies, the average age of all components, including authors, will be considered. Each artist, company, or collective may submit only one show, which must meet the following requirements: minimum duration of 15 minutes and maximum of 30 minutes; maximum 4 performers on stage; adaptable to unconventional spaces; no specific lighting requirements; no projections or need for complete darkness on stage.
Applications must be submitted strictly by 6:00 PM on Wednesday, August 20, 2025. Requests received after this deadline will not be considered.
