Call For Artists

About the Open Call

Artists are invited to submit their visual artwork for consideration in the Visual Art Journal. This open call accepts all forms of visual art and is open to artists aged 18 years or older from all countries. While submission is free, a non-refundable participation fee of $20 USD is required upon selection. Chosen artists will have their work featured in both the print and digital versions of the Visual Art Journal. Selected artists will also receive a free digital PDF copy of the magazine and photographs of their physical magazine pages. Additionally, all featured artists will be showcased on the Visual Art Journal's Instagram account, which has over 50,000 subscribers. Visual Art Journal is a globally distributed magazine, featuring up to 120 beautifully designed pages printed on high-quality paper. The journal emphasizes digital promotion through ads on major platforms, targeting search terms like 'art magazine' and 'emerging artists', attracting 29,000 website visitors and 540,000 monthly Instagram reaches. Physical copies of the magazine are periodically featured in various art galleries, including Quorum Gallery in France. Visual Art Journal is an online publication registered in the Netherlands (e-ISSN 3051-2352), with printing and shipping also managed from the Netherlands. The company is currently registered in Georgia and establishing a second legal entity in Bulgaria. Applicants have the optional opportunities, upon selection, to be considered for an interview feature in the magazine and on the website for a fee of $50, and to have their work displayed on a digital billboard in Times Square, New York, appearing once every hour for 24 hours, for a fee of $80.

What is Offered

Optional opportunities include a paid interview feature in the magazine and website, and a paid display on a digital billboard in Times Square, New York.

Requirements

Open to artists 18 years or older from all countries. Submissions must be visual art. Image requirements: .JPG or .PNG format, titled as 'First Name_Last Name_Title_Year'. Up to 6 works can be submitted.

How to Apply

Applicants must fill out the form on the Visual Art Journal website. Images must be in .JPG or .PNG format, named as 'First Name_Last Name_Title_Year'. Up to 6 works can be submitted. Images can be linked via Google Drive or Dropbox in the form, or sent directly to visualartjoin@gmail.com.
