Picto Foundation
PICTO LAB is a residency program providing an artist with three months of support in experimentation, creation, and production (May–July) within the Picto laboratories in Paris. The program aims to facilitate the development of new projects by allowing photographers to test techniques and explore formal expressions of the image. The laureate receives a €4,000 residency grant and €10,000 in technical funding for experimentation and production at Picto Bastille and Picto Grand Paris. The residency includes framing support from Nielsen and a live-work studio at Espace Co42 provided by rentingART. The residency culminates in an exhibition and sale of the produced works at the a ppr oc he fair in November.

Photographers with at least two years of professional practice who have not yet had the means to experiment and disseminate the proposed project. Applicants must be sponsored by an artistic organization.
Applicants must submit a curriculum vitae, a portrait, an artistic portfolio (maximum 20 pages), and a statement of intent (maximum 4 pages). Crucially, the photographer must be sponsored by an organization (art center, gallery, or institution) that commits to presenting an exhibition of the produced work within the following year and supporting the artist during the a ppr oc he fair.
