Kala Art Institute
The Individual Artists Fellowship (IAF) program, presented in partnership with the California Arts Council, supports individual artists across all disciplines in the Bay Area (Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, and Sonoma counties). The fellowship identifies three career tiers: Emerging ($5,000), Established ($10,000), and Legacy ($50,000). Applicants must have resided in California for at least two consecutive years and currently reside in one of the eight designated Bay Area counties. The program aims to uplift artists by providing unrestricted funding at pivotal moments in their careers.

Applicants must be 18+ years old, reside in one of the eight eligible Bay Area counties, and have lived in California for at least two consecutive years. Students in K-12 are ineligible. Previous Legacy recipients cannot apply.
