About the Open Call
The Derek Hill Foundation Scholarship offers a newly expanded three-month residency for painters and draughtspeople. The fellowship provides the time and space to develop new work within the international multidisciplinary community of the British School at Rome. Participants receive board, accommodation in a purpose-designed studio, curated support, and access to local archives and museum collections.
What is Offered
The scholarship includes board and accommodation in a residential studio for three months, a monthly stipend of £1500, a £500 travel grant, Italian language lessons, library access, and participation in the termly Open Studios event.
Requirements
Applicants must be resident in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland or the Republic of Ireland. Work must be rooted in painting and/or drawing.
