About the Open Call

Three residencies will be awarded to emerging to mid-career documentary filmmakers to support their projects through a stipend, production cost coverage, access to equipment and studio resources, mentorship, and professional development. The program culminates in a public presentation of the work.

What is Offered

A stipend of $2,500, up to $2,000 for production costs, access to courses and equipment at no fee, mentorship, cohort community, and a public presentation.

Requirements

Must be an emerging to mid-career documentary filmmaker based in NYC, 18+, with at least one professional project completed. Teams of up to two are eligible. Student films/projects are ineligible. Projects must have a clear timeline leading to a public screening in Spring 2027.
