The 'Boot Polish' project is an ongoing research and development (R&D) initiative exploring themes of race, Deaf identity, and power. The company is recruiting for three distinct positions: a white male dancer, a Deaf male dance artist, and a Deaf artist from any discipline. The project takes place in Leeds between May 7 and May 23, 2026. Roles involve interdisciplinary collaboration, rehearsals, and creative exploration of movement, rhythm, and non-verbal communication. Access support is available for Deaf participants.
Paid participation in a professional dance theatre R&D project (£2,025 for specific roles).
Applicants should have strong technique, interest in interdisciplinary collaboration, and willingness to engage with themes of race, identity, and power. Deaf artists should identify as Deaf or hard of hearing.
