About the Open Call

The Bonsall Arts Trail is a biennial curated event taking place on June 20th and 21st, 2026. The trail showcases talented established and emerging artists and makers within the historical village of Bonsall. Exhibitions are hosted in homes, community buildings, and a central marquee. The event includes 'The Longcliffe Prize' (£200) for work referencing the environment and a £100 public choice award. Artists are required to be present with their work, which must be original and available for purchase.

What is Offered

Exhibition space (minimum 8ft x 4ft), marketing and publicity, opportunity for art sales (artists keep 100% of sales), and eligibility for prizes including the £200 Longcliffe Prize.

Requirements

Open to professional artists and makers living and working in Derbyshire and surrounding counties. Applicants must demonstrate mastery of their medium and provide original, recent work. Selected artists must pay a £60 subscription fee by February 28, 2026, and must be present at their assigned venue during trail hours.

How to Apply

Applications must be submitted via CuratorSpace, including a 100-word artist description and six representative JPEG images. A non-refundable £10 administration fee is required at the time of submission.
