About the Open Call

We invite contemporary artists to explore the timeless, yet ever-evolving relationship between humanity and the botanical world in BLOOM: Art of Flowers & Foliage & Fruit. This juried exhibition celebrates the diverse ways artists interpret, reimagine, and respond to floral and botanical subjects through contemporary perspectives. Artists are encouraged to interpret the theme broadly, including traditional botanical representation, cultural symbolism, environmental themes, and abstract interpretations. The exhibition aligns with the OPRF Garden Walk.

What is Offered

Accepted artists receive professional exhibition experience, promotional opportunities via social media and press releases, and inclusion in an online exhibition catalog. Cash awards include Best in Show, Excellence in Traditional Media, Excellence in Contemporary Interpretation, and Emerging Artist Award.

Requirements

Open to artists 18 years and older. Maximum 3 works per artist. All work must be original and created within the last 3 years. Work must be ready for exhibition (framed/mounted). 2D works maximum 60 inches in any direction; 3D works maximum 6 feet height. Video works maximum 10 minutes duration. Gallery retains 40% commission on sales.

How to Apply

Submit all materials and pay the $35 submission fee for up to 3 works via the Submittable platform by April 30, 2026.
