The Eccles Institute for the Americas and Oceania at the British Library
The fellowship involves a period of research at the British Library starting September 2026, followed by the creation of a new body of work and public engagement. Open to artists working in any medium who are inspired by Black musical artists and genres from Canada, the US, the Caribbean, and Central and South America. The fellow will receive a £7,500 stipend and a £3,000 production/public engagement budget.

Must be over 18, based in the UK, show evidence of sustained artistic work, interest in using collections research, ability to work independently, and desire to share process.
