Belger Arts
The Ceramics Residency Programs at Belger Arts provide artists with focused time and space in a communal studio environment. The Foundation Residency is a one-year term (with possible renewal) designed for emerging artists to gain experience in a large working studio, offering a $1,000 materials stipend and a $500 firing stipend. The Visiting Artist Residency is for mid-career artists (5+ years experience) seeking short-term professional development (1-6 months). Both programs provide semi-private studio space and require community interaction through artist talks, workshops, or studio monitoring.
Semi-private studio space with work table and shelving, $1,000 materials stipend (Foundation), $500 firing stipend (Foundation), discounted firing rates, teaching opportunities, and an end-of-term exhibition (Foundation).
Foundation Residency: Recently completed academic degree (UG, Post-Bac, or Grad) or equivalent experience. Visiting Artist Residency: Minimum five years of experience as a professional artist. Open to U.S. and international artists.
Applicants must submit a completed application form, CV/Resume, Artist Statement, a Letter of Intent or proposal, and 15-20 digital images in JPEG format (300dpi). Foundation Residency applicants also require two letters of reference. Applications open January 1st each year.
