Becoming an Octopus focuses on imaginings of water and fluidity. The program serves as an interdisciplinary platform connecting artists, researchers, curators, and other professionals for collective learning. It includes lectures, artist talks, screenings, performances, workshops, and field research. Topics range from philosophy, spirituality, and post-capitalist theory to ecology, gender studies, and post-humanism. It takes place from July 10–11, 2026.
Two-day interdisciplinary summer school program with coffee breaks included. Participants are responsible for their own travel, accommodation, and food costs.
Applicants should be artists, researchers, curators, or other professionals interested in the interdisciplinary topics of the program. A fee waiver application is possible for economic reasons.
