About the Open Call

Bearnstow welcomes individual artists and small collaborative groups for in-depth creative exploration. The retreat provides a restorative natural environment to spark new projects or develop existing ones. Participants share communal meals and have access to studio space suitable for somatic practice, dance, music, writing, and dialogue. Special family retreat sessions are available where children can attend day camp while caregivers focus on their artistic work.

What is Offered

One-week residency including a shared cabin, three communal meals daily, studio time, access to 65 wooded acres and a beach, creative consultation, and an informal end-of-week presentation.

Requirements

Artists or collaborative partners in any discipline may apply; requires a proposal for creative work to be conducted during the retreat.
