About the Open Call

The BBA Artist Prize 2026 is an international open call welcoming artists aged 18+ from all backgrounds and working in any medium. Applicants can submit up to 6 artworks. The jury, comprised of industry professionals, evaluates submissions based on visual excellence, storytelling, conceptual thinking, technical craftsmanship, subject depth, and understanding. This opportunity provides a platform for both seasoned and emerging artists. Finalists will participate in an exclusive exhibition in Berlin, scheduled during Gallery Weekend Berlin (end of April / start of May 2026). Prizes include cash awards (1st Prize: 1000€, 2nd Prize: 700€, 3rd Prize: 500€, Audience Award: 300€), an Artsy profile, online promotion (newsletter, press, socials), and for the 1st Prize winner, a solo exhibition at BBA Gallery.

Requirements

Anyone 18+ can apply - all mediums are welcome. No restrictions on experience or social / educational background. Submit up to 6 artworks. Required information after payment: Name, address, contact info, website, Statement (300 words max.), CV + Exhibitions List, Artwork info (Title, medium, size, edition, year of creation), up to 5 images (3MB each).
