About the Open Call

BAZA Space invites up to three individual international choreographers or movement-based artists for a one-week research residency in summer 2026. The residency is designed for self-directed research in contemporary dance, improvisation, and interdisciplinary performance. One residency is offered free of charge, while two others are subsidized for artists with their own funding. BAZA is a drug-free and smoke-free environment.

What is Offered

7 consecutive days of accommodation and exclusive studio access. One spot is free of charge; two spots are subsidized at €550.

Requirements

Must be an international individual choreographer or movement-based artist; work must be in contemporary dance, choreography, or interdisciplinary performance; must adhere to drug-free and smoke-free policy.
