BAZA - space for choreographic research
The series focuses on dance films where movement is the central artistic material and the camera actively participates in the choreographic process through framing, editing, and rhythm. Each of the three annual editions carries a specific thematic focus: Political Bodies (Edition 01), Choreographing the Frame (Edition 02), and Bodies, Voice & Testimony (Edition 03). The series emphasizes experimental approaches, embodied research, and socially engaged perspectives.
Selection for a curated screening series at an international independent space for dance, including promotion and audience conversation.
Films must be short dance films up to 15 minutes long, created specifically for the camera. All production years and countries are welcome. Special interest in experimental, politically engaged, and research-driven practices.
