About the Open Call

This call selects up to six projects in development (not yet fully premiered) to be presented as short staged works (5–15 minutes) during the direzioniAltre Festival in August 2026. Finalists present their work to a jury and public audience, and one winning project receives extended support for further development, including a residency and production funding.

Requirements

The call is open to Italian and European artists under the age of 40 (or groups where at least two-thirds are under 40). Projects must be related to contemporary dance and should be in a development phase rather than fully produced. Applicants must submit a project proposal, CVs, and a video excerpt of the work (between 5 and 15 minutes).

How to Apply

Applications must be submitted by email with a completed application form and supporting materials, including a project description, CVs, and video documentation. Incomplete applications are not accepted, and all materials must follow the specifications outlined in the call.
