Baltic Analog Lab
Baltic Analog Lab and Skaņu Mežs festival offer a shared residency program uniting analog film and experimental sound. The program provides access to fully-equipped analog film facilities, including darkrooms and a Neilson-Hordell optical printer, as well as a sound studio with modular synthesizers in collaboration with Erica Synths. Residents stay in a shared 200m2 apartment and are encouraged to engage with the local artistic community through presentations, workshops, or screenings.
One to two-month residency stay, shared accommodation, access to darkrooms and photochemical film equipment, sound studio access, and opportunities for public performance or exhibition.
Practicing artists or researchers with previous experience in analog media. Artists using the darkroom or optical printer must be self-sufficient. Residents are responsible for travel, living, and material costs, and must pay a residency fee of 500 EUR per month.
