About the Open Call

The Wiregrass Museum of Art invites artists from across the Southeast to submit work for B26: Wiregrass Biennial, the museum’s juried exhibition celebrating the depth and diversity of contemporary art in the South. WMA seeks innovative and progressive works that challenge boundaries and utilize a range of art forms, including painting, sculpture, and new media. This exhibition offers a platform for experimentation and dialogue, connecting artists and audiences through creative expression that speaks to today’s South.

What is Offered

Awards include People's Choice ($1000 for 1st, $500 for 2nd and 3rd), Judge's Choice ($1000), and an Alabama Artist Award ($1000). All selected works are insured during the exhibition.

Requirements

Open to artists aged 18+ residing in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, or West Virginia. Works must be original and completed in 2022 or later.

How to Apply

Submissions must be made online via the ArtCall platform. Artists must create a profile, submit up to three works with images, and include an artist statement and resume.
