b-side Arts Festival
This is a process-led opportunity that offers time and space for exploration within your practice using the Isle of Portland as a place of inquiry. Proposals should investigate and gently disrupt ideas of otherness, oddness, 'Islandness', and queerness. The R&D period runs from April 2026 to March 2027 and is part of the wider curatorial framework 'Common Lands'.
An artist fee of up to £2500.
The proposal must be site-responsive to the Isle of Portland and relate to the curatorial theme 'That Other Place'. Open to artists at any stage in their career.
Applications must be made via CuratorSpace. You may apply in written, video, or audio format. Requirements include a proposal describing your R&D idea, a practice statement (portfolio/CV), thoughts on participation or engagement, a sense of research support/access needs, a budget outline, and images or links to previous work.
