About the Open Call

Curated by Om Bleicher, Yelena Lev, and Lark Pilinsky, Autumn Enchantment focuses on the poetic and symbolic qualities of autumn as a period of transition and reflection. Artists are encouraged to interpret the season through literal, abstract, conceptual, or emotional approaches, examining themes such as time, stillness, warmth, nostalgia, and change. The exhibition aims to create a contemplative atmosphere where viewers encounter artworks responding to both the visual richness and emotional resonance of autumn. The exhibition will be hosted at BG Gallery within the well-known Bergamot Station Arts Center, a major contemporary art destination in Los Angeles. The programme is open internationally and welcomes a broad range of visual art practices and stylistic approaches.

Requirements

The call is open to all visual artists worldwide. Artists may submit original artworks in any visual medium, with a maximum of two artworks selected per participant. Submitted works must be professionally prepared and ready to hang, with wired installation systems required for wall-mounted pieces. Sawtooth hangers are not accepted. The submission fee is $35 USD for the first three images and $10 USD for each additional image. Payment instructions are provided after artists express interest in participating. Selected artists are expected to provide exhibition-ready works suitable for gallery installation and public presentation.
