L’École de danse contemporaine de Montréal
The École de danse contemporaine de Montréal trains creative contemporary dance performers. Annually, it organizes auditions to recruit young talents to join the advanced interpretation dance program (DEC 561.BB), a three-year training program starting in August 2026. The audition process involves two stages: 1/ First round of auditions: online registration before January 8th at 11:59 PM (Eastern Canada time). Two options are available for the first round: In Montreal (a day between January 23rd and 25th, 2026, schedule based on convocations) or by video (to be submitted before January 8th, 2026, at 11:59 PM). 2/ Final audition: by invitation on February 20-21-22, 2026. About the EDCM: Specialized in training contemporary dance performers, the EDCM is recognized as a center of excellence in Canadian performing arts, known for its avant-garde and rigorous teaching. Since 1981, it has trained over 500 professional dancer-performers.
