Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity
The Audio Recording Engineer program provides professional training through mentoring, class sessions, and professional practice. Participants support the recording needs of music programs like Jazz, Opera, and Chamber Music while learning about equipment, software, and recording techniques in world-class studio spaces. Multiple dates are available across the summer season.
Includes single bedroom accommodation, credit-based meal plan, access to professional studios, and scholarships covering 100% of tuition and 25% of accommodation and meal costs.
Applicants must be 18+ with a combination of formal training and/or professional experience in audio engineering. Desirable skills include working knowledge of Pyramix and ProTools, file management, and strong communication skills in English.
Submit a two-page resume, a one-page cover letter, and a portfolio of up to three recordings or mixes through the SlideRoom application system. Complete the Financial Aid section during submission for scholarship consideration.
