Art Students League of Denver
The Color Scheme Residency, part of ASLD’s Visiting Artist Series, addresses the historical exclusion of artists from formal art spaces by uplifting historically underrepresented communities. Residents receive access to dedicated studio space, lead workshops and community engagement programs, and receive a monthly stipend. The program seeks artists whose work complements existing ASLD faculty and media, which include book arts, ceramics, drawing, painting, fiber arts, jewelry, mixed media, photography, printmaking, and sculpture. The residency culminates in a solo exhibition at ASLD’s gallery.
900 sq ft dedicated studio space, monthly stipend, solo exhibition, equipment funding, and networking opportunities with over 125 faculty members and local art professionals.
Open to national and international visual artists 21+ years of age. Applicants must demonstrate strong work, a commitment to working with diverse communities, and a willingness to participate in JEDIA initiatives. Priority is given to artists from outside the Denver metro area.
Applications must be submitted through the Call for Entry (CaFÉ) platform. A $25 non-refundable application fee is required, though fee waivers are available upon request for those facing financial barriers.
