About the Open Call

Artsfest makes art essential to the lives of those living in Southwest Missouri by showcasing talented artists and their creativity in a community-centric festival. More than forty years strong, this outdoor event hosts over 110 artists on the beautiful Historic Walnut Street in Springfield, Missouri. The festival is adjacent to the Missouri State University campus and Downtown Springfield.

What is Offered

More than $5,000 in cash awards will be given, including Best of Show ($1,000), Best of 2D/3D ($500 each), and Award of Excellence ($500). Artist amenities include drive-up loading, booth sitters, and an Artist Hospitality Tent with breakfast and lunch.

Requirements

All work must be original and human-created; AI-generated work and buy/sell items are prohibited. Artists must be present for the entire two-day event. A booth fee of $225 is required upon acceptance. Artists must provide their own tent, weights, and have a City of Springfield retail license and State of MO tax ID.

How to Apply

Artists must submit an application through the ZAPP software platform, including five images: four representative of the work to be exhibited and one of the booth display.
