Maja Arte Contemporanea
The Call is open to female artists born after 31 December 1985 who express their creativity through drawing, painting, photography, video, sculpture, or other visual art forms. The Artist awarded the Residency will have exclusive use of a self-contained, fully furnished apartment for the entire month of May 2026. The apartment is located on a large private property in a rural area, 8 km from the town of Todi (Perugia), Italy. Access to a car — either owned or rented — is essential, as nearby towns and villages (where food and basic supplies can be purchased) are only reachable by private vehicle. The Residency is reserved exclusively for the Artist selected through the open Call. No cohabitants, overnight guests, or pets are allowed. Smoking is prohibited in the apartment and all indoor areas. The Artist will receive a contribution of €1,000 towards living expenses at the beginning of the Residency. Applications will be treated with strict confidentiality and evaluated by an independent Jury consisting of a gallerist-curator, a collector, and an artist. The Jury will announce its decision by 28 February 2026. Should a winning Artist be selected, she will be notified by email and will have five days to confirm her acceptance of the Residency by email. Failure to do so will entitle the Jury to offer the Residency to another participating Artist.
