Center for Contemporary Printmaking
The Center for Contemporary Printmaking's Artist-in-Residence Program provides a dedicated studio, the Helen Frankenthaler Printmaking Cottage, for resident artists to produce a body of work. The program offers uninterrupted time and privacy 24/7 in a well-equipped studio with onsite living accommodations, fostering creative growth, experimentation, and collaboration in printmaking. Artists can explore new mediums, create editions, or advance their printmaking skills. CCP accepts applications semi-annually for Winter (December–February) and Summer (Mid-May–Early September) sessions. Residencies are one or two weeks in duration. A key goal is community engagement, with artists having the opportunity to conduct a studio talk or teach a workshop for CCP artists/members and the greater Norwalk and New York metropolitan area communities. CCP retains one print or set of prints created during the residency for its archive.
Artists are offered a dedicated studio (Helen Frankenthaler Printmaking Cottage) with 24/7 access and onsite living accommodations. The opportunity includes a supportive atmosphere for creative growth, exploration of printmaking techniques, and potential for collaboration. Residents can conduct a studio talk or teach a workshop for community engagement. Funding opportunities include matching 50% of residency costs (up to $2,500) for professional development applicants, or up to $5,000 in underwriting for Summer Session applicants through CCP funding.
