About the Open Call

Artist Grant awards an unrestricted $1200 USD grant to one visual artist three times each year. Annual deadlines are March 15, July 15, and November 15. The grant has a $30 USD application fee. Eligible media include Painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, printmaking, photography, mixed media, installation, and new/alternative visual art forms. Film/video, music, theater, and dance are not accepted. Past winners are not eligible to apply again. We showcase grantees on our website, social media, and marketing materials. Selected applicants may also be featured on social media. Artists retain their copyrights. We seek a cohesive, well-crafted, and well-presented body of work that communicates its viewpoint, ideas, and concepts clearly, effectively, and creatively and is not derivative. All applicants are notified of grant results within 6–8 weeks after each application deadline, and results are announced on our website, social media, and newsletter.

Requirements

Visual artists 18+ worldwide. Past winners are not eligible to apply again.

How to Apply

By November 15, email a link to your website, or 3–5 images (JPG, PNG, or PDF) and a resume, CV, or brief bio to submit@artistgrant.org. Include permission to share your name, artwork, and website link on social media. No grant proposal required. Then, pay the $30 application fee via Stripe or PayPal. Note if your payment name differs from your email name.
