About the Open Call

The ARISE Engagement Intervention is a research programme funded by UK Research & Innovation (UKRI) linked to Estuary Festival. Artworks must be community-driven and site-specific, with a format that can be physical, digital, audio, or storytelling.

What is Offered

Artist fees of £2,112 or £2,464; £2,000 production budget; £200 workshop budget; travel/subsistence; and curatorial support.

Requirements

Artists or collectives must have experience in socially engaged, participatory, or community-based practice and be able to work in selected coastal communities in South East and East England.

How to Apply

Read the full artist brief online and apply via the Jotform (https://form.jotform.com/estuaryfestival/ARISE-application). Applicants must provide a bio, description of practice, statement of interest, and five work examples.
