About the Open Call
The Artist Accelerator programme supports visual artists to grow their practice through tailored mentoring, hands-on learning, and creative networking. Selected artists receive one-to-one coaching, participate in five masterclasses, and attend cultural field trips. The programme culminates in a site-specific public commission at East Village, developed in collaboration with local communities and focused on arts, culture, nature, and environmental responsibility.
What is Offered
£1,000 artist fee for the public commission, a £70 bursary for travel or childcare, 3 hours of 1:1 coaching, 5 masterclasses, cultural field trips, and access to creative networks.
Requirements
Applicants must be visual artists over 18 years of age, not in full-time education, and based in East London (priority given to Newham). The programme is for artists who have faced barriers to their careers, including working-class, disabled, and ethnically diverse artists.
