About the Open Call

ArtEO’s open call and art programme for innovative artistic projects that use Earth Observation and environmental data. From January to April 2026, ArtEO will collaborate with artists to create public-facing projects that use environmental insights and Earth Observation data in unexpected ways – through sculpture, music, animation and any other artistic medium. The goal is to produce multisensory projects that go beyond data visualisation conventions, helping audiences to gain fresh insight, and to connect with the emotional and human stories that lie beneath the data.

What is Offered

Up to €4,000 funding per artist, mentorship from scientists and creative experts, access to satellite data and research networks, and inclusion in a 2026 public exhibition.

Requirements

Open to artists from any discipline (visual artists, musicians, choreographers, digital artists, etc.). Applicants should be visionary, curious, and insightful. No background in science or data is required.

How to Apply

Applications are open from 1st December 2025 to 16th January 2026. Interested artists should submit their entries using the form available via the ArtEO website.
