About the Open Call

The 'Art on Climate' International Illustration Competition, organized by Fingertips Company Limited and sponsored by Allianz Global Investors, aims to raise awareness of effective strategies for combating climate change. Launched in Spain in 2019, it has grown into a global movement. The competition invites talented illustrators and video creators to create original artworks centered on the theme of climate change, specifically drawing inspiration from topics such as Empowering Communities for Climate Resilience, Establishing Planetary Boundaries for Sustainable Living, Advancing Inclusive Capitalism for a Sustainable Future, Leveraging Technology for Innovative Sustainability Solutions, and Uniting for Collective Action to Tackle Climate Change. It serves as a platform for sharing innovative ideas and practical solutions to address this global challenge, inspiring the public to take proactive steps in their daily lives.

What is Offered

Winners will receive monetary prizes: Champion (€2,000), 1st runner-up (€1,500), 2nd runner-up (€1,000) for both illustration and animated video categories. An additional 20 merit awards of €150 are available for illustrations. All winners will receive a customized award certificate by email, and their winning artworks will be displayed in a virtual exhibition.

Requirements

Eligibility: Any person aged 18 or above on 18 May 2025, from any location, is eligible to participate. Employees of Allianz Global Investors and Fingertips Company Limited, and their affiliates, are not eligible. Artwork Specifications: Original works relevant to the theme of 'climate change', submitted individually. Max three illustrations and three animated videos. Must not have been previously published, awarded, or used for other purposes. Must not include identifying information. Each must have a 30-100 word description. Illustration Category: Flat image, color, A3 size (297mm x 420mm), JPG format, min 300 dpi, max 10MB per entry. No AI-generated artworks, photographs, or clip art. Animated Video Category: 10-15 seconds long, aspect ratio 9:16 (min 1080x1920 pixels) or 1:1 (min 1080x1080 pixels). MP4 or MOV format, max 30MB per video. Any production techniques allowed if original. Background music preferred (copyright-free). No voiceovers. Any text in video must be in English.

How to Apply

Participants must register and upload their original artworks between 19 May 2025 and 31 July 2025. Each participant may submit up to three illustrations and three animated videos. Submissions must be original, not previously published or awarded, and must not include any identifying signatures, words, symbols, pictures, or voiceovers. Each artwork must be accompanied by a short description (minimum 30 words, maximum 100 words).
