About the Open Call

The City of Florence invites emerging, mid-career, and established artists to submit work for the Art Exposed Rotating Outdoor Art Gallery. This project features six locations on a 0.7-mile stretch of Highway 101. The program aims to generate community pride, provide high visibility for artists, and stimulate conversations about public art while facilitating art sales. Selected pieces are displayed for two years, and the City provides marketing and installation support.

What is Offered

Selected artists receive a $1,500 stipend to display their work for two years. Artwork is for sale during this period, with the City of Florence retaining a 30% commission.

Applicants must be 18+ years of age. Artwork must be original, weather-resistant (coastal conditions), and under 500 pounds. Projects must be at least 75% complete at the time of application, as mock-ups are not accepted. Artists are responsible for transportation costs to Florence, Oregon.

How to Apply

Artists must apply through the CaFÉ (Call for Entry) website, submitting one application per location preference. Submissions must include title, materials, dimensions, weight, artist history, and a mounting plan.
