ART 180
The Atlas Artist Residency is a collaborative program where a teaching artist and an assistant lead a group of young artists. For 2026, the annual theme is 'Protect Your Neck', a creative call to action inviting young artists to explore how they protect, preserve, and empower their identities, communities, and creative genius across cultural, emotional, physical, historical, and spiritual levels. The RTA will develop a 9-week curriculum, mentor teens, and participate in a final exhibition showcasing both individual and collaborative work.
The residency offers a teaching position, professional development in instructional practice, collaborative teaching experience, and a final exhibition showcase.
Applicants must have teaching experience, provide a portfolio of work, be eligible to work in the United States during the residency period (May–August 2026), and submit a 9-week program curriculum outline.
Applicants must complete the online form, providing personal details, profile photos, a bio/artist statement, resume/CV, a letter of recommendation, 3-5 artwork samples, and a 1-2 page curriculum outline aligned with the theme 'Protect Your Neck'.
