Arts Council Korea (ARKO)
Arts Council Korea (ARKO) operates ARKO Art Studio Program to promote global artistic creation and cultural exchange. The program provides a foundation for creative work and research while offering a platform for exchange that fosters the expansion of contemporary artistic discourse. Main programs include K-culture tours, professional matching, studio visits, artist mentoring, open studios, networking programs, and a scheduled exhibition in 2027.
Participants receive a private studio, monthly production support of KRW 500,000, and a monthly living allowance of KRW 500,000. International artists (non-Koreans) receive additional support for round-trip airfare (up to KRW 2,000,000) and accommodation (up to KRW 1,200,000 per month).
Individual applicants only; minimum five years of professional experience in visual arts; eligible to obtain a South Korean visa for a minimum 4-month stay; fluent in English; not a recipient of 2026 ARKO Regular Grant Programs.
Submit the required application materials (Personal Statement, Artistic Practice Plan, Portfolio, and CV) in the designated .ppt format to arkoresidency@arko.or.kr by the deadline.
