Argo Arts LLC
Argo Arts offers residencies in Athens to develop creative practices in a supportive social environment. The program includes year-round self-directed residencies and themed group residencies. Upcoming themes include 'Why so serious?' (focusing on carnivalesque subversion), 'Overtouristification' (investigating international capital and belonging), and 'Eco-Witchery' (exploring the occult and climate crisis). All residencies include a workspace at Argo Studios and housing in neo-classical apartments, alongside connections to the local art scene and research recommendations.
Dedicated workspace in Argo Studios, accommodation in neo-classical apartments, connections with the Athens art scene, and potential mobility funding via Culture Moves Europe for eligible European artists.
Open to artists, writers, performers, musicians, scholars, and any other creative discipline. Themed residencies may seek specific profiles such as philosophers, movement practitioners, or craft makers.
Applications for self-directed and themed residencies can be submitted via the specific links on the Argo Arts residency page (argo-arts.com/self-directed, argo-arts.com/carnival, or argo-arts.com/tourist).
