About the Open Call

We are currently looking for local artists to apply for our 2026 residencies. You can be an artist of any kind, working in any medium. All you need is the drive to work with our community and the passion for making art accessible. We believe ‘art is for all’ and we invest in the creative process. Our Artists in Residence are under no obligation to create any final artistic outcomes during their time with us, but we encourage each artist to create opportunities for our local community to inform, and be inspired by, your practice through social engagement. What is Offered

A 3-6 month artist residency at St Margaret's House with no obligation to create final artistic outcomes, focusing on community engagement and development of the artist's practice. Support for seeking external funding is also mentioned.

Requirements

Local artists with a drive to work with the community and a passion for making art accessible. Applicants should be prepared to describe their practice, social engagement, reasons for applying, what they would gain, and what they would bring to St Margaret's House.
